Internet Settings - Pop-up Blockers

Pop-ups are used throughout PointClickCare and to fully use the application, set your internet browser to allow pop-ups from the PointClickCare site.

If you are using Chrome:

To always allow pop-ups from a particular site:

  1. In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu icon.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click Show advanced settings.

  4. Under Privacy, click the Content settings

  5. Under Pop-ups, click Manage exceptions.

  6. Type [*.]pointclickcare.com and select Allow from Behavior.

  7. Click Done.

You can also manually allow pop-ups from a site:

  1. At the end of the address bar, click the pop-up blocker icon.

  2. Click the link for the pop-up window you want to see.

  3. To always see pop-ups for the site, select Always show pop-ups from [site]. The site is added to the exceptions list, which you can manage in the Content Settings dialog.

If you are using Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. From the Menu Bar, click Tools.

  3. In the list, click Pop-up Blocker

  4. In the second list select Pop-up Blocker settings.

  5. Enter *.pointclickcare.com in Address of website to allow.

  6. Click Add.

If you are using FireFox:

  1. In the content panel, click the Content icon.

  2. Click Options.

  3. Click the menu button.

    If you want to turn off pop-up blockers altogether, clear Block pop-up windows to disable the pop-up blocker.

  4. Click OK.

    If you want to keep pop-up blockers turned on and add PointClickCare as an exception,

  5. Click Exceptions. This is a list of sites that you want to allow to open pop-ups.

  6. Enter *.pointclickcare.com in Address of website.

  7. Click Allow.

  • Third party security applications and Browser Tool bars can also contain pop-up blockers. If a third party tool bar (Yahoo tool bar or Google tool bar) is installed on your browser, make sure these are turned off. Activate these changes by closing down the browser and re-opening Internet Explorer.
