Changing your Password

PointClickCare does not change passwords for customers. If you forgot your password, see your systems staff for help. 

Change password on first login

  1. When you log into PointClickCare, you may be forced to change your password immediately if your organization's administrator provided such settings in your system and applied it to your user role. If so, a Change Password dialog box appears.

  2. In the Password Change dialog box, type your Old Password and then your New Password twice. Click Save. The fields for Alternate Password/PIN re-set an alternative password/PIN set to attest items in the PointClickCare application.

Change password from profile

  1. In the upper right corner of the PointClickCare page, click your name and a list appears. Click edit profile.

  2. In the My Profile Settings pop-up, click Change Password.

  3. In the Password Change pop-up, type your Old Password and then your New Password twice, and click Save. The fields for Alternate Password/PIN re-set an alternative password/PIN set to attest items in the PointClickCare application.

  4. In the My Profile Settings pop-up, you can make any other changes to the information, and then click Save.

  • If any special password rules are set up, for example that the password must be at least 6 numbers and 1 character, you are prompted accordingly.

  • Rules may be set up by your organization that dictate when you must change your password. You see these these prompts as needed.

For Enterprise/multi-facility access users only

  • In the My Profile Settings pop-up, select the default facility to log into by changing the Default Facility list at the bottom of the pop-up.
